As long as you don’t
choose, everything remains possible.
Present
Hari looked at his phone and thought hard on what he was
going to do. He was deciding on whether or not to ask her out… on a date. They
have been talking for a long time now, he doesn’t remember. She was fun and
all, and its time he should make a move. But then, he didn’t want to be
disappointed again. He was unsure of himself. He didn’t want to get rejected
again. He remembered how excited he had felt, when he found himself in a similar situation and had made that call to Her a long time back. That was exactly
a year ago.
He liked Her, and was pretty sure, she liked him too. She
was the first person with whom he felt he could share himself with ease.
Though, sometimes her behavior gets on his nerve. Unlike other girls with whom
he had been with, she owned him like no other. Oh! And She was beautiful…
gorgeous in fact and she was very aware of this fact. She carried herself with such elegance. Ahh! Normally he would get tongue tied when talking to
girls, but with her everything was different. It was just perfect. He yearned
for her. He had to let her know what he felt for her.
Excited, he had made the call.
Present
He was dejected when she said she was sorry that she cannot go
out with him. It was disheartening for him when She said he had confused her friendship with him as something else. It baffled him when she said, he was just a friend and nothing more.
Wha..? It was perfect, How could she shatter everything? How could she not see what they shared was anything but something very very special? How could she discard all those moments? Every passing moment, he thought about her. It killed him inside. It took him, God knows how long, to finally stop lamenting over her, and convince himself to go out and try to meet new people.
But he has obviously not able to move on.

If only he could go back to that moment and change everything.
When you make a choice, your possibilities change

going to do. He was deciding on whether or not to ask her out… on a date. They
have been talking for a long time now long enough to be more than ‘just
friends’. She was really fun, and its time he should make a move. He remembered
the Last time. The time when he had shied away from asking Her out. That was exactly a
year ago.
Exactly a year ago...
He was afraid. He was unsure of her response. They have been
talking for only three months. It was too soon, wasn’t it? Also, He just couldn’t get hold of the inane pattern of her thinking.
Sometimes she was so cool that he found her a great person to hang out with.
Sometimes she acts so vulnerable that it really freaks him out. And sometimes
she is so cold, that it pisses him off completely. Oh! She was beautiful though,
gorgeous in fact, but the problem was she was very aware of this fact. Yet, for
some reason he yearned for her, he had to let his feelings out before it choked
him. But then, for what? He sat their smoking cigarettes thinking over it again
and again and finally he decided against it.
Present
He had regretted that decision for long time now. I mean,
what’s worst thing that could have happened? She’d have said No? But atleast,
you let yourselves be. Every passing moment, he thought about her. It killed
him inside.
He is not going to make that mistake again. He is not going
to live with regrets. Back then, he was unable to make a choice because he
didn’t know what would happen. Now that he doesn’t care what all would happen,
he is able to make a choice. ‘Carpe Diem’ he said to himself. Excited, he made
the phone call.
